A Weak Bladder Should Be Prevented With These Simple Remedies

By:

One of the serious medical conditions affecting a good number of the adult populace is weak bladder. Weak bladder is signaled by frequent and unexpected itch to urinate. This inability to control the bowel is called urinary incontinence because of involuntary urine loss.

Many muscles are spastic because of a weak bladder. The detrusor urinae, the main muscle for urinal discharge, is affected as well. Normally the adult bladder can accommodate a volume of urine of up to 600 ml. When this is reached, the brain then tells the detrusor to contract. Weak bladder decreases this capacity to just 300 ml, resulting to urinating in shorter intervals. Weak bladder is also the result of urinary tract infection, Parkinson's disease, stroke, malignant growth in the bladder, and others.

Indications of Weak Bladder Sudden need to urinate Urinating in shorter periods Waking up because of the need to urinate (nocturia)

Overactive Bladder Treatment Don't start thinking and worrying of having to wear adult diapers if you have weak bladder. That is not the case here. A better treatment with long-lasting results for weak bladder cases is called kegel exercise. Essentially it is the same as how you contract and relax urinary muscles in order to hold your urine and stopping the flow. A set of 80 counts for contracting then relaxing the urinary muscles every day for 2 months can work wonders for incontinent individuals.

A more permanent solution to a weak bladder is learning how to control urinary muscle contraction. Such training is called kegel exercise. The exercise involves contracting and relaxing urinary muscles to withhold or withdraw urine, just as how you would stop or allow the acid to flow when urinating. The exercise is repeatedly done 80 times daily for two months. After then the bladder will be back in good condition.

If you have a weak bladder, remember you are the sole victim. Other adults have the same issue and have undergone treatment with successful results. Immediately request for a pelvic examination from your most trusted doctor if you suspect you have a weak bladder.
