A Wart Remover - Is It Good For All Wart Types?

By:

Let's take a look at some wart removers.

There has been a wart on some area of just about every person's body, sometime during their life. Most people didn't have any type of problem with these warts. Some people have had warts that lasted only a short period and spontaneously disappeared. Other people, who were not so lucky, have learned to live with very persistant warts throughout their lives.

While there are many effective and useful wart removers available, in these cases they were not used or used incorrectly. Over the counter (OTC) wart removal solutions do work, however, there is a strict discipline required in order for them to be effective.

The appropriate application directions are often not followed by many people and those directions are essential for the solution to work correctly.

Salicylic acid, which is the active ingredient in most OTC solutions, will, if used according to the directions, eliminate most common warts if only temporarily.

One of the reasons many people have opted to simply live with their warts is because they tried one or two OTC solutions and even though the wart may have become smaller, it never completely disappeared or it came back. Warts reappear only when the HPV virus that's causing them has not been killed off. The virus must be eliminated in order for warts to be treated effectively so that they do not return.

Approximately 100 different strains of the HPV virus exist. Each type prefers a different environment to live in.
Types 1,2 and 3 are the cause for most common warts that one finds on hands or fingers. Plantar warts, found on the feet and palmar warts, found in the palms of the hands, are caused by type 1 HPV.

Filiform warts, common warts and various plantar and mosaic warts are caused by HPV type 2.

Filiform warts and flat (plain) warts are usually caused by type 3 HPV.
Warts located on genitalia and/or the anus are associated with HPV types 6, 11, 18, 30, 31, 33, 39, 35 and 40.

A large portion of HPV obviously prefer the high bacterial area of the anus or the soft tissue regions of the genitals. Of the many HPV types that prefer the genitalia, 90% or so are caused by types 6 and 11 while types 16 and 18 are responsible for somewhere close to 70% of the known cervical cancer episodes.

The cause of some cancers associated with the vulva, vagina, penis and anus are HPV viruses. Some other cancers that HPV is associated with include laryngeal cancer, tracheal cancer, lung cancer and oral cancer.

Gardasil, a vaccine that prevents infection from types 6, 11, and 16, has recently received controversial critique because of the legislation mandating its use in young girls. The controversy is usually more concerned with the mandatory vaccination of young women rather than the effectiveness of the vaccine itself.

There are various wart remover techniques available that are natural and effective in removing warts of all kinds by eliminating the HPV from the system. Several techniques do not require medical assistance at all.

Some of these methods also can be used to eliminate skin moles and skin tags as well.
