A Simple Way On How To Meditate

From the time that we were born we are constantly bombarded by different situation that causes us great anxiety. Ranging from physical, mental and emotional pain, that causes great stress and disturbance to us. Because of this we are always reckless and anxious of many things. Meditation is a time tested method of alleviating stress through self realization and helps us attain real satisfaction that can transcend material pain in this world. Most people seek for a more simple way on how to meditate that will be able to fit in their tight schedule.

Well here is a simple way on how to meditate. To get start with, you will need a nice and quiet environment free of any distraction. It can be a secluded place in your home, office, place of worship, garden, or in the great outdoors that offers you a sanctuary from unwanted noise and unnecessary interruptions.

Chose a comfortable position, you can sit with your spine straight, either in a chair or on the floor. You can also try to sit in a cross leg or lotus position just make sure that you are comfortable with it.

Start with proper breathing. Relax as you exhale, let your abdomen in and squeeze all the air out, inhale as you let youre your abdomen bloat and fill your lungs with air. Do this a couple of time until you get used to it and do it naturally and relaxed.

Choose a transcendental sound that you would like to meditate on. It can be a Name of God, a phrase spoken by Him or describes Him. Some people chose to say the Name Aum, Gauranga, Alah, Jehova what ever bona fide Name of God they prefer.

Inhale as you say in your mind the transcendental sound that you choose, and then exhale as you say it loud. (Just make it loud enough for you to hear it but not too loud to cause disturbance to others.) . Repeat this continuously as you relax and allow yourself to take refuge and rest in the transcendental sounds. Do this at least for 10 to 15. When meditating focus on the sound that you make, forget first all your worries and troubles and just simply focus on the sound. As much as possible dont let your mind wonder away from the transcendental sound. If these happen just let the new thought slip away it will come to pass
You can also record some yoga sound and listen/meditate on it.
