A Short Review Of The Motorola Mh230r 23-mile Range 22-channel Frs/gmrs Two-way Radio

There will come a time when you should find a means to keep in touch with a group of people that are spread out in several directions. These two-way radios can be used for various things and can genuinely help when you need to know where someone is.

To illustrate, I would like to share with you our adventures of our annual fishing trip to Lake Champlain. Since we usually have about 8 to 10 boats on the water so everyone can fish, it is difficult to keep track of everyone since Lake Champlain is huge. One of the chief issues we always had was getting everyone back for lunch or dinner because we all like to eat together. At times we would be searching for people for hours, and never be able to find them.

Then a couple of years ago, I purchased two sets of these two-way radios and put them in 4 boats. I kick myself for not getting more radios to start with because they worked great. Because the two-way radios have a range of 23 miles, we were able to keep in touch with every boat that had one of the radios in it. As a result, after trying them out, the succeeding year I made sure we had a radio for each boat. This was a truly smart thing as the next year my uncle's boat broke down and wouldn't start and the fact that he was approximately 3 miles away from the camp meant that we would have had a difficult time finding him. But because he had a Motorola in his boat he merely called us and we went out and got him. If he couldn't have gotten in touch with us, he would have rowed back a few miles.

This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. As I noted earlier, these Motorola radios have a 23 mile range and feature a charging station so you don't have to worry about spending a lot of money on batteries. You can even know what the weather is with the weather band that these Motoroal radios come with.

And the uses of these Motorola radios are nearly boundless. Just last year, my mother took all her grandkids to Disney and asked to borrow the two-way radios. She thought that it would be a great idea to make certain all of the kids had a Motorola radio attached to them just in case someone got lost. While no one went missing, that was really a great idea she had.

SeveralA few of my family members even use them when they are going hunting in a relatively big group to let the other folks know when they are leaving. Which can be a great time saver when a person leaves so you're not walking through the woods searching for someone who is not there.

You can even buy headsets for these two-way radios for even better use. And because these are 22 channel Motorola radios and feature 121 privacy codes you don't have to worry about other people with the same radio interfering with your radios.

Right now you can even get a pair of these Motorola radios through Amazon for about $40, which is a lot less than what I paid for ours. And I am quite sure that you will be able to find a lot more uses for them than what we use them for.
