A Short Review Of The Blackberry Playbook

By:

BlackBerry PlayBook: This is a highly intelligent tablet, if that is what is important to you. The Playbook has a revolutionary QNX operating system that is still unrivalled in the world. It is quite responsive and lets you navigate through the system with greater precision. The multi-tasking features cannot be over-emphasised; they almost are the selling points for this product. Safety and security has been carried out on this tablet as it has on other BlackBerry products. You can work on multiple applications at the same time, start one application and then another, and be able to move between them without having to stop and close one application in order to work on another. The BlackBerry PlayBook copies and pastes just by long pressing on a text portion until a window asking you if you want to copy or past opens.

Other Applications you can choose from include a music player, an e-book reader, a clock, a weather application, and a YouTube application, just to name a few. You can also find games, which is a new thing in BlackBerry applications since the Storm 2 was launched. You get the usual applications you would have had access to if you only had a BlackBerry phone. Third party applications are not available, so even though you have two high resolution cameras you still cant Skype. Theres a voice recorder and a music application that should make using your Playbook fun, and social networking fans will enjoy the shortcuts available to get them through to their social networking sites like Facebook.

The productivity applications, like your excel sheets and word document, are accessible by bridging the BlackBerry PlayBook with a BlackBerry mobile device. The integration of flash is meant to enable uses like video conferencing, but, to get the hang of it you really need to get some expert advice and read all that you can about Flash interfaces; otherwise, it just becomes a redundant feature on your tablet.

BlackBerry PlayBook accessories loaded on a tablet is not as great, unless you are a fan of need for speed or Tetris. The graphics really pop. The application world that came with the release of the playbook has not made it a success; instead, it makes all the holes that were in the design stick out. If you have never used a tablet before and are a die-hard Black Berry fan, then this could be the next gadget for you buy BlackBerry PlayBook.
