A Quick Review Of Dell Cloud Computing Companies

By:

In August 2011, the world renowned IT solutions company, Dell, announced that it would be a provider of cloud computing. Cloud computing refers to purely online-based computing in which shared resources (e.g. the printers and network), information and software are provided to the computing device as well as other devices when demanded.

Companies using the Dell cloud computing service pay only one license for every user and complete various applications. This contrasts with the initial practice of paying individually for the computers and servers and then installing them on their systems.

Dell announced it will be providing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) that is going to be designed on the popular VMware technology. According to Dell, the cloud computing companies will provide the service for the public as well as private clouds in which the computing and storage will always be available on demand.

Dell is also offering cloud computing service on other platforms such as the Platform as a Service (PaaS). The Platform as a Service is basically an environment for hosting and development. The PaaS is made up of development tools, databases, middleware, software and infrastructure.

The Dell Software as a service (SaaS) gives users access through the internet to applications that are hosted at the service provider's infrastructure. The SaaS model can also deliver various applications such as the Customer Relationship Management (CRM), collaboration, Enterprise Resource Management (ERM), email and many others. The IaaS will let the administrators and system developers of your company self-monitor the neecessary computing, storage and networking resources for the purpose of deploying, operating the systems and running the applications as required.

The Features of the Dell Cloud Computing Service

There are currently multiple companies offering the cloud computing service. How is the Dell cloud computing service different from the others? The difference lies mainly in the aspect of pricing. The Dell pricing options include the Reserved, Dedicated and Pay As You Go (PAYG). The better pricing according to the company is aimed at creating loyalty among customers and clients.
