A perfectly white sparkly smile is something that everyone wants and desires but general cleaning and hygiene is sometimes not enough to keep your teeth the perfect brightness that you want them to be. It is often the first thing that people notice about you, and more often than not makes a statement about you.

Now if you have discoloured teeth, the judgement as you can imagine is not going to be a good one and you may be seen in a negative way, but with a perfect white smile, you will stand out and you will be able to dazzle new and old friends when you smile at them. This is also the case in business, you always want your client to be impressed with you, and a white smile can do this.

There are many factors as to why your teeth are discoloured and not the perfect white you want them to be, these can include; smoking, eating sugary foods, drinking too many sweet drinks, or just simply taking poor care of your teeth. This can all now be reversed by having your teeth whitened by a dentist and regaining a perfect white smile.

There are 2 types of tooth whitening procedures that you can undertake, these are; in chair teeth whitening and take home teeth whitening.

In chair teeth whitening consists of a gel being placed over your teeth, and a light reacting with the gel to whiten the teeth, this process is repeated every 20 minutes so you can see the results in an hour.

Take home tooth whitening is where the dentist will take an impression of your teeth to make a mould, to which you will place a solution into and wear the moulds at night when you are asleep, this will take time, but the advantage is that you can see the gradual results and in the comfort of your own home.
