A New Star Trek Flies To Old Territory In 2009

Did you know that the original Star Trek flick was supposed to be a prequel to the at that time suspended TV program? Such is pleasant news certainly, as Star Trek is a franchise with the most passionate followers in existence, where protests are ordered when a Vulcan is portrayed to have longer-than-normal ears.

Aside from Kirk and Spock, younger adaptations of series regulars like Dr. Leonard Bones McCoy, Montgomery Scotty Scott, Uhura, Pavel Chekov and Hikaru Sulu will comprise the crew of the USS Enterprise.

Star Trek will be shown on May 8, 2009 to begin the years summer chart-buster celebration.
