A medical mobile unit is a branch of medical service providers charged with responding to medical situations that need quick ferrying of patients to medical facilities. These providers basically offer ambulance services to victims, paramedic and medical service, first aid services as the patient is taken to the medical facility.

These units are very handy during accidents, terrorist attacks, natural calamities and disastrous such as earth quick and tsunamis. This branch of medical service has been responsible for saving lives of many people during such trying times. In a government or state funded unit, the government or state is responsible for recruiting and maintaining staff in the agency. Supplies come from the government or state in which the agency is active. In most cases, major ambulance service and rapid deploy medical agencies in a country are funded by the state or the government.

Private rapid deploy medical services are personal business owned by an individual or a group of individuals. They get paid by the person who requests to use this service. They are dimmed to be very efficient and quite expensive. In most developing countries, they are very common. In the developed world, we see very few privately owned medical rapid response agencies since the government ones tend to be cheaper and equally efficient.

There are also medical mobile units that are purely voluntary. These agencies get their funding from donations from different avenues. Most of these agents receive no funding from the government or state. Common donors include nongovernmental organizations, members of the public ranging from students to professionals and all sought of people from different walks of life. Business entities like Sacco, Banks and business moguls fund these organizations very heavily.

This branch of medical service also exists as a branch in a hospital or medical facility. In this case the hospital has the sole responsibility of funding, servicing and maintaining of staff in this sub branch. The hospital is also charged with providing equipments and utilities to be used by its staff in pursuit of the unit's goals.

Indeed medical mobile units are very important in these age and time. Without these little but vital organizations, a lot of human life that can be saved could be lost. Imagine the scene of a tragedy with no personnel shipping out injured individuals in quick and rapid manner. It will be catastrophic many would be saved life get lost.
