The time right after a breakup can be pretty rough...the depression from being alone so suddenly can cause people to make a lot of unhealthy choices. Whatever you plan to do about your situation, you should definitely avoid the self-destructive ways of dealing with breakup pain and instead search for constructive, healthy ways to heal the hurt.


One thing I support beyond all others as a healthy and constructive solution to breakup pain is to start a serious exercise program. You don't have to go into Olympic training, but regular physical exercise is good for the mind and body. Even if you are already in pretty good shape, every person on this planet (even Hollywood movie stars) could benefit from a good workout plan.


Joining a gym is a good way to motivate yourself to continue your exercise, but how many of us have ten gym memberships we don't ever use? If you can afford it, I suggest hiring a personal trainer. Most of us don't have the self-motivation to force ourselves to work out regularly, especially when we're depressed from a breakup. Having someone there whose job it is to make sure you're doing what you should be is a great help.


You may not need to get that serious, however...really all this boils down to is a healthy distraction that tones you up a little bit and makes you feel good about yourself. It may be all you need to just jog around the block a couple times each day, or do some laps in a public pool or lake...the important thing is that you're staying active.


If you keep this up for the entire month of no contact with your ex that I recommend to everyone just out of a breakup, you'll find yourself feeling loads better and looking pretty good too. A month is plenty of time to notice a difference, even a minor one...and it'll impress your ex, as will how good you visibly feel.


Whether you just want to get over breakup pain, or want to help your chances of getting your ex back, doing something like this for yourself is a fantastic choice. Remember though, that just looking good won't get your ex back...you'll want to have an overall plan for how you're going to do it; going into this blindly will have bad results regardless of how much you've done in that month.
