A Guide To The Herning Exhibition Centre In Denmark

MCH Messecentre Herning is the largest venue for trade shows and exhibitions in Scandinavia. More than half a million visitors come to this venue every year, keen to visit the shows and attend the events hosted by the most important organisers in Denmark. In the past, the Messecentre Herning has been the venue for landmark events such as the Transport Fair: the biggest horse show in the world, the largest auto exhibition in Scandinavia: the Genesis concert and the Spare Parts Market and HI Industri, which is Denmark's longest running trade show.

Facilities at MCH Messecentre Herning include technology friendly, spacious halls and both outdoor and indoor exhibitor areas, including a beautiful outdoor concert arena. The MCH Messecentre Herning also offers its patrons excellent conference facilities and catering services which are provided by the venue's own kitchen as well as a few local restaurants and cafes. Visitors can also take advantage of the free parking that is offered.

There are many hotels located near the Messecentre Herning that can provide accommodation to suit various budgets. The Hotel Herning is the closest one to the venue but there are plenty of others such as the Hotel Lynggrden, Lind Hotel, Hotel Vester, Hotel Birkegrden, Hotel Corona, Scandic Regina Herning and the Best Western Hotel Eyde all located fairly close to the MCH.

To get to the MCH Messecentre Herning, visitors can take the Trade Fair Bus that runs from Herning Railway Station to the venue and back every half hour during any event being held at Messecentre Herning. Please note that the first bus leaves Herning Railway Station half an hour before the start of the event and the last bus leaves Messecentre Herning 15 minutes after the event is over. A one-way ticket will cost you DKK 15.
Visitors can also travel by train and take any Danish train that halts at Herning Station.

It is also convenient to arrive by air, using carriers Cimber Air or Maersk Air, for instance. There are two airports near MCH - Karup is 25 kilometres and Billund is 52 kilometres from the venue. There is also an airfield where private planes may land, called Herning Airfield which is only a few minutes from Messecentre Herning.

Some of the interesting upcoming events at MCH include Formland, Coldplay in concert, Transport, Foodexpo, HI Industri 2009, VandTek, Agromek, Cars for Everyone, Horse and Rider, Holidays for Everyone and Dasnk Varmblod.
