A Guide To Holidaying In Clacton On Sea

By:

Clacton on Sea is one of the largest towns in Essex. Buy a caravan there and you get to spend a lifetime's worth of family holidays in and around the area - sampling not just the delights of the town itself but some of the lesser known gems that surround it. Here's a few personal favourites:

1: The Clacton Carnival and Clacton Airshow. For everyone, from fun loving kids to the stuffiest airplane buff in the world, the two offer a feast of entertainment. You'll thrill to see the only surviving air-worthy WWII warplanes left in the world doing their thing in the clouds over Essex! Buy a caravan or caravans in the area and you'll be guaranteed front row seats and a leisurely stroll to the grounds: unlike the poor bums having to spend hours in traffic just to get there.

2: Clacton Factory Outlet. Clacton on Sea combines the charm of a regular seaside town with something that will always be attractive - cheap designer goods. The Clacton Factory Outlet is a completely pedestrianised shopping village on the outskirts of the town, which the owner of caravans in the area is bound to get to know and love. Buy a caravan in Essex and you can take the whole family shopping at the Clacton Factory Outlet whenever you need new clothes. It's non seasonal, of course, so you can enjoy it at any time of year.

3: The Jaywick Martello Tower is another excellent example of the "local" Clacton. When you own caravans in the area you will start to get to know the places that Essex' residents hang out. The Martello Tower is one - a fascinating Napoleonic fort, which has transmogrified into an all purpose arts centre, meeting place and local point of interest, Enjoy any of the excellent music and arts festivals that go on here throughout the year.

4: Buy a caravan in Essex and you will also, of course, be putting yourself close to a number of prime beaches. There are plenty of exciting water sports on offer at the Blue Flag beaches of Southend on Sea; while Clacton itself combines the attractions of the beach with the nostalgia and romance of a traditional British seaside town, from donkey rides to candyfloss, Essex has you covered!

5: The countryside is perfect for walking and cycling, with plenty of lovely rural routes and of course the odd pub to leaven the journey! Buy a caravan in the area and you'll soon become an expert in the trails and byways of beautiful Essex. Take a picnic and make a day of it.

6: Historic Colchester has plenty to offer - from stunning buildings to excellent shopping and eating. Perfect for a night out or a day in the City.
