When you think of BT, you will probably mainly associate them with telephone land lines and calls packages, but they do offer a great digital television service and even broadband as well. You can actually bundle all three of these services together to help save you money and make it much easier to manage. Going for just a digital television package from them may also be ideal, as they offer both normal and HD services.
Their digital television service is called
BT Vision and gives you a lot for your money. You get access to all the Free view channels, including BBC 1, 2 3 and 4, ITV 1, 2 and 3, ESPN, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2. You can also choose films to watch on a pay per view basis, so that you only pay for additional movies as and when you watch them. Many of the top latest ones are available to select from. On demand and catch up services are also on offer, allowing you to watch any shows that you may have missed when being broadcast.
There are two main Vision packages to choose from. Essential is the cheaper of the two and only costs 4 per month, making it very affordable. Unlimited costs 12.50 per month and is ideal for those who watch more television. With both packages, you receive a free Vision + box, as well as Free view channels, BBC iPlayer and replay and catch up services. You can add on either Sky Sports 1 or 2 from just 12.90 per month or both for 18.20 per month. ESPN is not available with the Essential deal, but is included with Unlimited.
On demand content is included for free with Unlimited, but you will have to pay from 50p per programme with Essential. This includes TV, Music, Kids, Film Club and Sports, so there are a wide variety of extra shows to choose from. With either package, you will need to pay from 2.50 per movie when using the Box Office service. It is a pay per view basis, so you only pay for what you actually watch.
Vision Adult can be added from just 3.20 per programme, while Bolly and Beyond is not included with Essential but can be paid for at 7.20 per month on the Unlimited package. There is a wide variety of channels and shows to choose from and you can add on a relevant pack suited to your needs.
BT Vision HD gives you an even better quality television service to enhance your viewing experience. This is especially ideal for watching sports or films, but there are many HD channels and programmes on offer. You will need a HD ready television set in order to receive this service once you take out the designated package though.
