Speed dating has become a popular form of dating over the past few years and continues to grow in popularity. Each speed dating club or event is slightly different in the set-up yet the basics remain. In order to participate in the activity one must first register at one of the clubs, pay a fee to attend the event, fill out the registration form and questionnaire, follow the rules and have a good time. The time allotted for each date is between 4-10 minute intervals so making a good impression is vital in order to be considered dating material.

What are some of the tips to remember when speed dating?

a) Enjoy the conversation but do not let each other dominate the conversation. Both parties should be engaging especially with only a small amount of time allowed for each date.
b) Do not use any profanity on the date it could be construed as rude and offensive behaviour.
c)One should not bring anything of a sexual nature into the conversation. Remember that other people are sitting within close proximity and if they feel that an individual is being sexually explicit, that might hinder potential dating prospects.
d)If the other person isn't as attractive or intelligent as one would like, be the bigger person and show some respect. The idea is to meet and get to know different types of people.
e) Do not solicit other people for their phone number or cell number or anything else in front of the other person. The idea is to meet and possibly date someone compatible.
f) Do not break the club rules.
g) Do not become inebriated by over consuming alcohol or attending the event under the influence of a controlled substance.
h) Do not attend the event dressed inappropriately or without exhibiting proper hygiene. Dirty clothing, bad breath, being too sexy by revealing a lot of skin is a fast turn off.
