A Gift For Her

Come one, its not hard! When it comes to buy a gift, men hold the advantage because they really have from where to choose. Unfortunately, they are missing the instinct for something like this and probably, between a fur coat, a diamond ring and a Dior coat, they would choose a kitchen robot or a sweater with Bugs Bunny.

And whats worst is that girls are very sensitive at this chapter and an uninspired gift could make you look bad in your girlfriends eyes. Normally, it all gets down to the image. If her friends ask: And what did you receive? and she answers: Ohhhhh, an anticellulitic gel and this wonderful plastic earrings, you must realize that it wouldnt make neither of you look good.

Usually, girls have subtle ways of making you know what they want and this would be because they dont like to take chances and receive something they would absolutely loathe. Here are a couple of things that wont fail:


1.Jewels must be of good quality and match her style. If she likes extravagant stuff, then she wont appreciate a pair of small pieces almost invisible, even if their made of gold. Nevertheless, if you wont buy something made out of precious metal make shore its from a known firm.
2.Lingerie. If you know her measures, take something sexy and refined. What you want really matters because shell take into consideration some of your fantasies in order to make her feel desirable.
3.Cosmetics. Here you need the assistance of a girl, but, in her absence you can take a suggestion from the sales lady. A fine perfume, an aromatic body lotion, a good quality make up set will impress her and will show that you tried. A single lipstick or simple mascara wont do: either you buy her the whole set, either youd better get to the next chapter.
4.Clothes, purses, shoes: only if youve seen her dribble for something in the shop window (if this is the case, she surely wanted you to see her dribble just so you know exactly what to buy for her) and only if you know her measures.
5.Books. Many of the recent books address specially to women. If you know her at all, you already know what she likes to read. Helen Fielding, Sophie Kinsella, Amos Oz, Nick Hornby: you cant fail. If shes a hard reader, go for the classics.
6.Decorative objects. Their a little impersonal, but, if you see something special that fits her home design, you could impress her. Perfumed candle lights may do the job (in a set! With a woman its all in the quantity and quality)
7.Fluffy toys: must be big and special. If shes the type that still sleeps with her teddy bear, then shell be delighted.
8.Movies and music: always. Dont forget that she wont jump for joy if she sees in the cast Jean-Claude Van Dame, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, better try Amelie, The Story of Us, Frida, Moulin Rouge, Ghost etc.
9.The last lap. If you didnt have time for shopping, there is still hope in the gas station, as long as she doesnt figure it out. A box of bonbons, but the expensive ones, the kind that you never buy for yourself, a bottle of champagne, something youll find. Keep in mind that you must compensate with a romantic dinner at a fancy restaurant. And be ashamed of yourself for not taking precious time for shopping!


Heres a short list with the things you must not EVER buy to a woman: personal hygiene items, set of underwear, anticellulitic products, anti acne medicine, cooking books or something like How to please your man?, diet products, tweezers, elderly women clothing, hair dyers, sport articles, table cloths, artificial flowers, socks.

Dont forget that the packing paper is very important. If you havent got a clue, ask nicely the sales lady to help you wrap everything, elegantly, with a knot. You shouldnt think that gift bags will save you! For a plus of support: prey that it works out well!
