A Fork In The Road--home Typist Jobs

By:

I have worked in medical record jobs since I was fifteen, approximately twenty-six years. I started as a junior volunteer to a nurse aide and eleven years ago I became a licensed practical nurse. While attending nursing school I lost my cousin, my grandma, great-grandma, brother-in-law, dad and Godfather ages ranging from twenty-one to one hundred and five years old. Having lost so many people during the most difficult time in my life has made nursing school a bad memory I don't want to relive. I want to be there for my family, I want to make money and be able to go out and spend it. I need normal hours and free holidays, I have worked with crazy hours and working holidays for too long, I feel I deserve a change for the better. I know the medical field and nothing else has been such a major part in my life.
I became interested in the MT field because I can work home typist jobs, set my hours and still continue to serve faithfully in my church along side of my fiancé. Many bad experiences in my life has led me to rethink what I want out of life and this seems like something that I would really enjoy. I value education and know that my life would be boring without continuing to learn something everyday. I know the ins and outs of the medical field, I know time is valuable and family is important. I am at the age now that I need a change that works with my life not forcing my life to fit into my work. I lost my last job and have been unemployed and currently I am struggling on the meager unemployment insurance I qualified for, I no longer have the wants, needs or desires to work crazy awful hours, I want time out to travel to spend time with my fiancé, but to still work, to still make good money and to still in some way work in the field of healthcare. I know more about doctors, the workings of their offices and their needs as well as the legal aspects of the working of a doctor than any Joe Blow off the streets. I am organized and in ways a perfectionist so much so that at times it seems more like a fault than a good thing. To be honest I don't know what my education goals will be from one day to the next, but I do know that when it hits me to continue my education than nothing can stand in my way. I want this opportunity to make a change, but with my financial situation as it is I need help and I am not afraid of asking for help. A scholarship that would get me working in a field that releases me from the prison of nursing duties will be a prayer answered by God. I serve God and I want to do as he asks and I know if he sees me striving to work in a position that I can obey his commands to take one day of rest I know he will guide others to help me.
