A Few Great Reasons To Make The Move On Montana

By:

Montana is quite possibly one of the most beautiful states in the Union. Known by various nicknames-the Treasure State, The Last Best Place, Big Sky Country, and Land of Shining Mountains-Montana certainly lives up to all of these. Some of Montana's treasures include vast amounts of wildlife, majestic mountains, strong flowing rivers, and a relatively small population of humans, if that's what you're looking for. At fewer than a million people, and being the fourth largest state, Montana has a lot of wide open space.

Montana, naturally, would be the perfect place to love and own a ranch. Hunting, is one of these reasons. For a person who loves to hunt, Montana can offer about every hunting opportunity that one could possible desire. Some of the biggest elk in the world can be found in some of the most rugged and pristinely wild territory imaginable. Ever wanted to hunt a black bear? Montana is the place to do it. Big horn sheep, moose, mountain goats, and mountain lions are also hunted each year in Montana. Montana is also one of the few places in the world where one can still hunt for bison.

Another thing that keeps Montana so pristine is a lack of human development. With such a small population living there relative to its huge size, Montana is a place where a person can break away from civilization. Billings, the largest city in Montana, still has a population of fewer than 90,000 people. So if you are looking for a small town feel, almost everywhere in Montana can feel like a small town. If you are looking to live virtually alone, away from everyone else, there is plenty of space available for that as well.

Montana is also home to some of the most beautiful national parks in the country. Yellowstone, located in eastern Montana, is one of the most unique places on earth. Whether you are fascinated by Yellowstone's various geological wonders such as the famous geysers and hot pots, or you want to see wildlife in an abundance not found in many other places-Yellowstone is the place to go. Glacier national park is home to some of the most rugged, beautiful peaks located anywhere. The pristine, beautiful nature located in either of those places is unparalleled anywhere. Living on a ranch in Montana would give one unfettered access to both of these amazing places.

Whether one's interest be in hunting, fishing, or just enjoying nature's beauty in general, Montana is the perfect place to live-truly the Treasure State.
