A Few Big Reasons Why Backlink Indexing Matters!

By:

We all know by now that building backlinks is a crucial part to any kind of SEO campaign, but what about the simple art of backlink indexing? Surely, Google is not simply going to find all of the links that we have created on their own, right? Here's the thing. Search engines are not psychic, and as a result, those of us who choose to ignore the fact that pages simply don't index themselves, they are going to see anywhere from half of their links or more going to waste, especially if they choose not to build links to those links. This is a hard truth of any kind of link building that we all need to face, but in an attempt to try and get you going down the right path, lets cover some of the reasons why you would want to send some links to your links.

Increase Your Link Potency

I can't remember the first person to tell me the quote, "a link is a link is a link", but I will tell you this much: it doesn't matter where it is that you create your links, however, if there are no real solid links pointing towards the pages that contain your backlinks, then that link is going to simply carry as much weight as the next link. By pointing a few links to a page, you can actually increase, as they call it, the "flow of link juice" through that link, as to amplify the value of that link. In all essence, increasing the weight of any links that you choose to promote. Simply try social bookmarking your links, or create a few more links from Web 2.0 properties, or articles that you may submit through specific services.

Make Sure That Your Links Are Counted!

If you are familiar with the Wordpress platform, as many of us Internet Marketers are, you would be familiar with ping backs. Try searching for these ping back URL's in the Google Cache, and you will fast come across an astounding fact. Anywhere up to 75% or so of these links will not be indexed at all in Google, which means that a large portion of your SEO work will be done for no reason at all. It will not count. Here's the thing, if you send some links to these ping back URL's from other pages that are already indexed, these links will start to count. If you don't do this, then here's how simple it is. Google can not predetermine where links are coming from for any one website. You need to help it along a little. You need to make sure that Google knows about the links that have been created.

Money Down The Drain Is Bad News!

If you have a large portfolio of websites that constantly demands promotional attention, chances are that you are no stranger to spending a fair amount of money on promoting, whether or not this is in terms of time value of hard cash value. Here's the thing. If you are spending 40 hours per week doing SEO promotional work, without focusing on your backlinks indexing correctly, you might as well only be working 20 hours. The same applies with cash investment as well. You absolutely must ensure that you are getting maximum bang for buck from your investment.

A final word, and an important reminder. For a link to count in Google, it absolutely must be discovered by the search engine. The way to do this is to focus on getting those links indexed. Without a means to get your links noticed by the search engines, your work will be done party in vain.
