Practicing Soccer Drills at Home

Doubling up during practice can also increase endurance, as players will have to work twice as hard in order to accomplish the same drills. As a coach, you have to decide which players should play with two balls instead of one, as some of your players will need to master the basics with one ball first.

Soccer can be one of the most demanding sports on a human body, but unfortunately some players think that they do not have to drink liquid while playing a game. Many soccer players are at risk for dehydration. No matter where the game is played, soccer players inevitably lose a lot of water as they play the game. These players must constantly be encouraged to drink water. Every soccer practice and game should be done in a place where players have access to water. Soccer players should also be educated on the symptoms of dehydration. The more players know about this problem, the less likely it is to occur.

Flexibility

Flexibility is crucial for soccer players, both in terms of performing well and preventing injuries. Overextension can happen at any time during practice or during a game. To prevent this, players must learn correct stretching techniques and apply those techniques on a daily basis. One job of the soccer coach is to know proper techniques and teach them to his or her players. A good stretching session should last about 15 minutes. Stretching should take place before practice, and cool-down exercises should take place afterwards. There are some very simple stretches, and there are also some very complicated stretches. You should never perform a stretch unless you know how to do it, as proper stretching can also cause problems and injuries. Remember to stretch well and stretch often to ensure muscle flexibility.
