A 5 Step Plan For Being A Twitter Loser

A 5 Step Plan For Being A Twitter Loser

By:

Twitter is everywhere! Is it time for you to get on the Twitter? Are you ready to be a...

Twitter loser?

Here is a simple five step program that guarantees you will be Twitter loser.

1. Sell like crazy. Don't waste your time posting information and links that might actually be useful to your followers. Post nothing but advertisements. You've got to let your followers know what you are selling.

2. Repeat the same message over and over. You know, through your years of marketing research, that it takes repeated exposure to your marketing message to get through. Therefore, by logical extension, you should repeat yourself many times. Now you're thinking like a businessman.

3. Strive to follow more than 1 million people. You need to have as many followers as you possibly can. Following others is the best way to get your own followers.

4. Forget about reading others' tweets. Can you really read everything that 942 thousand people have to say? Other people will definitely read your posts to learn about what you are selling.

5. Avoid any kind of keyword research. It's just not worth the efforts. You know better than anyone what sort of keywords Twitter users might use to search for you.

Obviously (at least I hope it's obvious), this article is written in jest. You don't want to be a Twitter loser. Do the opposite of most of the things listed above. You will be much better served to use your Twitter account to provide genuine information, rather than just sales messages. Do not repeat the same message over and over. Non-stop repetition will cost you followers.

It is fine to have have lots of followers, but make sure you focus your efforts on those who have something to do with your industry; people who are possible sources of referrals or business contacts. Organize your account using one of any number of free Twitter management applications. This will let you actually keep up with Twitter users who are interesting or useful. Direct specific comments toward other users. Start conversations. To maximize your exposure, use popular keywords in your tweets, sometimes emphasizing the keywords with hashtags. Let research guide what keywords you use.
