Twitter is a micro blogging platform, which allows you to share short bursts of information in 140 characters or less. With Twitter, you can also find and follow friends and stay abreast with their feedback and updates.
When I first started using Twitter I could not understand what all the big fuss was about, but overtime, as I became enlightened, I saw the business potential in it. Ive put together my top 8 uses of Twitter. As usual, jump in to the comments section and share your person experience with Twitter. 8 ways you can use Twitter.
1. Build Your Personal Brand. Twitter is a social media platform you can use to build your personal brand. One of the benefits of Twitter is that it can be used establish connections and show off your personality as well.
2. Get Feedback. Do you need a fresh view or opinion on your recent article or tweaks to your website? You can simply send out a tweet to your community, asking their opinion.
3. Find Professionals. Because the community on Twitter is so vast, you can use it to find graphic artists, virtual assistant and other professionals. Again, all you need to do is send out a tweet asking for recommendations and await the feedback.
4. Stay Current. On Twitter, you will notice that people are always sharing some interesting link to a blog post, article or resource they would have stumbled upon. This sort of sharing is a great way to stay abreast without having to go to multiple sources. Happenings are brought to you.
5. Make New Connections. Twitter has a feature that allows you to add new friends and keep track of their tweets. You can also make connections outside your friend-circle, by doing a search based on your interest.
6. Networking. With Twitter you can Twitter find people that share the same interest, industry, niche and passions as you do. It really is a neat tool for connecting with other like-minded individuals.
7. Keep Your Client in the Know. With a Twitter feed, you can keep your clients or customers in the know with ease. If you are running a new promotion or wanted to share something that you felt would be interest to them, you can set up a feed just for that.
8. Find Prospects. Twitter can be used as a means to find potential customers or clients online. You can do a search for keywords related to your product on Twitter search and then follow users. Tweet about topics related to your product or brand but avoid sounding sales.
