If you have the tendency to accumulate fat around your belly, then you need to be very cautious about what you eat and how you workout. 1. Keep your metabolism high, this helps in losing belly fat rapidly. Instead of eating 1-3 large meals in a day, eat 4-6 small meals in every 3-4 hours. This helps in keeping your metabolic rate very high and helps you lose weight faster. Simple logic behind this tip is that when you eat small portions, it becomes easier for you to burn off the calories in your routine work. Include foods with high fiber, low sugar and carbohydrates, high mono-unsaturated fats and no or very less mono-saturated fats.

2. Eat balanced meals with low glycemic carbs (no sugar and starches). Increase how much fiber you eat and healthy fats (omega 3s) in your diet. Your last meal of the day should be light. Eat a leafy salad with a low calorie vinaigrette and some lean meat. Contrary to what you've been told it's OK to eat at night. Problem is most people are starving and over eat. 3. Poultry Meats: Lean cuts of chicken (breast) & turkey are the best. They are packed with protein, niacin, selenium, B6 vitamins and more. It is recommended that you cook these meats by grilling, baking or roasting.

4. stop drinking so much calorie-laden alcohol. This will reduce your calorie intake but you must be careful not to reduce your calories too much. Anyone can lose weight quickly by starving themselves but this can seriously damage your health because your body starts to burn lean muscle as well as your stores of fat.

5. Foods like fresh vegetables, apples, salmon, pears, oatmeal, egg whites, brown rice, whole grains would be a good choice. Also never ever skip your breakfast because it keeps your metabolism low throughout the day, leading to weight gain.

6. Stop drinking sugar water. You ever stop to think about what soda is? It's chemically treated sugar water. Sounds delicious when I put it that way right? Lose the soda. If you can't live without soda then at least switch to the chemically treated water minus the sugar. Again all that sugar just leads to a fat belly.

7. Containing all eight essential amino acids, seafood is an excellent source of protein. Fish also contains omega 3 fatty acids which are vitally important for your health. The two best types to eat are salmon and tuna (if canned - light tuna in water).

8. Exercise is important because the more you do the more calories you'll burn. Exercise alone isn't going to make you fit into your wedding outfit quickly however. So how can you burn off more calories and lose your beer belly fat quickly without reducing your calories to dangerous levels? The trick is to reduce your calorie intake a little, exercise regularly and persuade your body to burn as many calories as possible.
