Planning a class reunion party has never been easier due to online networking sites such as Facebook and Myspace.

1. Why not recruit 1 or 2 former classmates to share in the workload of organizing your class reunion party? The workload will stack up and you could do with the help!

2. Your guests will have families and careers that they will have to plan around in order to attend your event. To increase attendance, you really should give as much notice as possible, even up to a years notice.

3. You should, rather than send out invitations, create a website dedicated to your class reunion party. This way your former classmates will be able to see who else is attending and they will be able to look forward to it.

4. Put a form on your website so you can find out preliminary information such as:

a. Are they vegetarian? Your guests will be eating after all!

b. Is accommodation required? If so then you could negotiate a group discount if enough people are in need of it!

C. Extras? Would your guests like to order souvenirs? This will need factoring into the budget!

d. Photos? Have an area where school photos can be uploaded.

e. Payment - Have a link to Paypal so that your former classmates can pay up front for the event.

5. Hire a professional photographer. These photos can be used for the dvd! I suggest you have a school and a present day photo of everybody for this!

6. Your music could be from the year of graduation. This will be very nostalgic!

7. Avoid the inevitable embarrassing situations and supply name tags for everybody!

8. The food you provide should be top notch. Remember this is an extremely special occasion that has been a long time in the making.
