The yeast infection causes a woman's mentality to effect their social life as well as their own body. One of the most important factor in treating a yeast infection is proper diet. The first thing that should go out of your food list is sugar and foods made of sugar. This is because yeast has a tendency to grow and multiply with sugary foods. Hence, it is better to avoid foods like fruit juice, syrups, white or brown sugar and even sugar free substitutes and sweeteners. It is also important to avoid things including chocolates, caffeine, alcohol and those that contain gluten in them.

For quick relief, all you have to do is dab a small amount of apple cider vinegar onto the affected regions. Just make sure to dilute the apple cider vinegar with water. A good mixture is 8 ounces of water with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar helps to relieve the itching and burning. It also helps to kill the yeast that cause your infections.

One simple method for treating yeast infections is with garlic, a well known natural anti fungal. Quite simple to use also, simply peel a piece of garlic and tie a piece of string around it then insert it into the vagina. Leave it in for a few hours and then remove. Be careful with the string because you don't want to lose it in there, and also be careful not to break the skin of the garlic as it could sting a bit if raw garlic juice touches the sensitive parts of your vagina.

One of the best ways will be to treat yeast infection with yogurt. It is said that the good bacteria present in yogurt will fight against the fungi in the body, thus getting rid of it completely. Hence, yogurt should be made a part of your everyday diet and should be consumed before every meal. However, the yogurt you use should be the plain one and not one that is sweet.

Maintain good hygiene by washing your genitals at least once a day with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Avoid soaps with added scents or dyes because these can irritate your vaginal area.
