7 Diet To Get Rid Of Belly Fat

By:

All of us would love to improve our physical appearance by having a flat stomach. It is common to hear people whining about how they can effectively lose their belly fats. Although the most popular tip is to have proper exercise, having the right diet to lose belly fat is very important as well.

1. One of the main causes of obesity is unhealthy diet, which includes more harmful fats like, saturated fats and trans fats. To lose stomach fat and also to lose weight, it is very important to limit the consumption of foods rich in saturated and trans fats and cholesterol. So, avoid or limit your consumption of processed and fast foods, junk foods, fried foods, baked goods, cookies, candies, vegetable shortenings and whole milk dairy products like, cream and butter.

2. Start an abdominal workout. The Mayo Clinic advises that the most effective way to strengthen abdominal muscles is not the traditional pushup; instead, young women should focus on "abdominal hollowing" and "drawing in the belly button." The Mayo Clinic explains that strengthening deeper abdominal muscles and lower abs is a better way to trim inches from the waist.

3. Lean protein can be followed by fiber rich foods. The sources of fibers are fruits, vegetables and unrefined grains. Fibers help to delay your glycemic response to your food intake which is beneficial for getting lean. This will not contribute to the accumulation of visceral fats in between your internal organs that is more often than not the reason why your tummy is sticking out.

4. Avoid Sugar. Sugar is the number one enemy of gaining weight and belly fat. But if you really cannot avoid sugary foods, try to go for foods that contain artificial sweeteners. In fact, most health conscious people these days go for those sugar substitutes instead.

5. All fats are not bad and a diet to lose stomach fat fast should include the foods that are rich in good fats. Monounsaturated fats, polyunsaturated fats and omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids are the good fats that are required by the body for various functions. These good fats can help prevent the accumulation of fats in the belly as well. Some of the important sources of healthy fats are, fish or fish oil, olive oil, canola oil, avocados, nuts and seeds.

6. Work your deeper abdominal muscles. Get on your hands and knees and let your tummy relax. Take a deep breath. As you exhale, gently draw your belly button inward and toward your spine, tightening your abdominal muscles. Hold for 10 seconds and repeat five times. Work your way up to 10 to 20 repetitions.

7. You should pass up on trans fats that are made artificially which are found in shortening, margarine and hydrogenated oils, the common ingredients of the majority of processed foods. Additionally, you must also avoid high levels of fructose found in most sweetened products. Avoiding these products will surely lessen the offenders to your health and the contributors to your belly fats.
