Day 1: Detox on the first day to cleanse your body of the toxins that are causing the retention of fluids in your body. You don't have to buy any products to detox because you can mix up the drink from ordinary products that you have in your cupboard.

One such detox drink is made from lemon juice, ginger, honey and water. Every time you get hungry or thirsty during the day, you drink this mixture. You don't eat on this first day and the detox will clear out your colon without any pain or discomfort.

Day 2: Eat only vegetables, fruit, lean meat and fish. Eat apples and oranges for the fruit selections. Use a smaller plate that you usually would with half of the plate filled with vegetables.

Day 3: Continue to eat vegetables. Eat two extra fruit and use a can of black beans. Have half the beans for lunch and the other half for dinner.

Day 4: Eat your regular breakfast and drink at least 10 glasses of water. Do not eat anything after 7 P.M.

Day 5: Have smaller meals and eat five times a day.

Day 6: Eat an unhealthy food product such as ice cream or a donut in the morning.

Day 7: Do not drink any juice. Eat fruits and continue to drink lots of water.

During the week make sure that you are as active as possible so that your body keeps burning the fats and calories that you consume and has to reach into its store of fat to give you the energy that you need.

Each time you start to feel hungry reach for a fruit or some veggies or have a glass of water. You may start to get down and have the urge to have a big meal loaded with calories, but just think that you only have a few days to go.
