6 Tips To Increase Efficiency Working From Home

By:

Despite having more time freedom than the 9 to 5 grind when you start working form home full time you soon discover that unless you structure your day time can suddenly seem to disappear.

There are many great articles and blog posts out there that can help you with Time Management but if you think to how we are brought up Breakfast at 7.00am - Lunch at 1.00pm - Dinner at 6.00pm etc with a 9.00-5.00pm workload thrown in to keep you on track all day long you are always under the relentless pressure of having no time to yourself.

For most people who face a 9 to 5 or longer working day the only things they feel like doing when they finally arrive home is to grab a takeaway, a glass of wine and sit in front of the television or laptop to wind down, knowing they have to do the same thing again the very next day.

Your routine, whether it is good, bad or indifferent is likely to be one of the hardest challenges you have to make because it has become part of you. Some people find it impossible to function when left to make up their own routine and it can be a huge surprise that it is even a problem.

This is why people will often comment "You are treating your business like a hobby not a real business" and you will flit like a butterfly from Ebook to ecourse and back again, spend way too long on Social Media and find your day just goes by without having done anything constructive whatsoever. Here are six tips to help you bring more structure to your home based business:-

#1 Organise your work space (the edge of the kitchen table with the kids and dog is not ideal) - create an office for your business, if you have an outside space think about a Log Cabin as an office even that short commute every day can make all the difference.

Step#2 Block out events on something like Google Calendar to allocate portions of time for carrying out the tasks needed to produce your income. Income producing activities are things like lead generation and prospecting.

#3 It really is ALL in the detail. Focus on building one campaign at a time and think carefully about the congruency between your advert, your landing page and your Sales Funnel. If you do not do this one simple task your head will explode with all the things you have yet to do.

Step# 4 No matter how small your budget is to start with; separate out a regular amount of money for your advertising and marketing efforts. The best option is to open a business bank account to keep everything separate.

Step# 5 Using files from the local store, label and index up effective storage of your mindset and marketing training notes, sales funnel campaigns and your marketing efforts.

Step# 6 Build momentum slowly over time in your business by practising your business daily. You will be stronger minded and more likely to succeed if you have mentors in your business that can provide you with training and support. Business is just practise and if your practise enough every day at some point soon you are going to become great at it.
