You have to start working out so that you can get back in shape. You also need to have patience because it will take time to do this.

Don't give up when you don't see immediate results. Instead of creating a short term goal, have a long term one in mind. It may take weeks before you start to see even the slightest bit of improvement.

Tip #2: Set Manageable Goals For Yourself!

If you want to lose 20 pounds, set the goal in 5 pound steps. Concentrate on losing the first five pounds and then the next five and so on.

This will make it easier for you to remain committed to losing the amount of belly fat that will give you back your pre-pregnancy figure.

Start off with a slight change in your routine, such as doing five sit-ups when you get up in the morning. You may not be able to do this right away, but eventually you will be able to do that number and more.

Tip #3: Control the Portions of Food that You Put on Your Plate!

An easy tip to help you with this is to use a salad plate. It will look full and when you eat all the food you will feel as if you have eaten a larger meal.

Tip #4: Cook Your Own Meals Instead of Relying on Restaurant and Fast Food Outlets!

Choose fresh fruits and vegetables for every meal and trim the fat off the meat and pork. Remove the skin from the chicken that you cook because this is the part that contains the most fat.

Tip #5; Eliminate Sweetened Drinks!

This includes fruit juices because the whole fruit is better for you. Drink lots of water.

Tip # 6: Engage in High Intensity Cardio Workouts!

These get your heart pumping and you work up a sweat. This causes your body's metabolism to rise and as a result you burn fat.
