The excess fat in the body does not get washed out from the body, but, on the contrary gets stored in the body around belly, hips, arms or thighs. 1. Fish can be safely consumed but avoid grilling it. Lean meat is also a better option in your low fat diet. Avoid fried and grilled meat.

2. The body does not recognize calories that are consumed in beverage form and the average soda has more calories than you care to imagine. Its so easy to drink 2 or 3 a day. In conjunction with decreasing soda and sweet tea I began to drink water like it was going out of style. If you don't like the flavor of water, use the calorie and sugar free sweeteners. My entire family will not drink anything else now. The good news is that your actual food intake does not have to be bean sprouts and cabbage soup. Cut back on portions and eat more often during the day. Remember this, if you do not feed your body, it will cannibalize itself and you will not loose fat.

3. Assuming that you are an obese individual who has crossed 30 years of age, there are several factors that you needed to adapt for changing your diet in order to lose that extra fat. Firstly, you might have consumed enough high carb foods to such an extent that you no longer needs to take high calorie foods to have enough energy to carry out normal activities in your daily routines. This is because you have grown up eating high carb starch & fiber rich foods like beef & potatoes pretty often that you no longer need any more calories.

4. Avoid low-carb types of diets, and instead lower JUST the bad carbs (foods high in sugar and empty calories such as sodas, candies, etc.). Low-carb dieting wants you to restrict ALL types of carbs... including the healthy type (fiber)... and this is NEVER a good thing! The body needs fiber to keep the metabolic and digestive system healthy.

5. You should cut down on tea and coffee and completely stop having sodas and other aerated drinks. You can try herbal tea, green tea as they help in natural burning of fat.

6. Eat more frequently (4-6 small meals) but in intervals with different nutrients (known as calorie rotation or shifting). This amazing diet trick is simply based around confusing your metabolism by substituting the nutrients you eat in different intervals each day to prevent your metabolism from decreasing. This will raise your bodies fat burning hormones and will lead you to having a lower body fat percentage before you know it!
