Ordinary toothpaste can dramatically help with acne. If your face feels swollen, put a little bit of toothpaste on your pimples before going to bed. Your skin will feel much better in the morning.

A paste of two table spoon of almond powder, one table spoon of milk and one table spoon of orange juice can be used as a scrub. Tomato juice can be applied to the face which act as a good antioxidant and help the skin to generate healthy looking skin.

Create an anti-pimple mixture for normal skin by combining one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of lemon juice. Do not use this if you have sensitive skin. Grind a few pieces of orange peel in water. Apply this on face to dry out pimples.

Honey is a potent antibacterial liquid used in several acne treatment products. Applying honey for acne control is an age old remedy. For better results, prepare a mixture with two parts of cinnamon powder and one part of honey. Use this mixture of cinnamon and honey for acne treatment.

Try cutting down on foods high in saturated fats and hydrogenated fats. Reduce the amount of sugar and dairy products especially chocolate in your diet. Increase the amount of fresh fruit and vegetables you eat. Drinking plenty of water helps cleanse toxins from your body and cutting down on the caffine and alcohol intake will not only benefit your skin but your overall health aswell. Massaging the affected part gently with olive oil also help in fading acne scar. Herbal beauty products containing essential oils like Tea Tree oil, clove oil, Lavender oil, Rose wood oil and Eucalyptus oil are quite helpful in removing scars due to acne.
