If you're like most people, there might be a bit of extra weight you're carrying around that you'd like to see disappear. Well, here are some great tips for quick and successful weight loss so get started now and get going towards the new slimmer you.

1. Breakfast everyday - That saying, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day", is absolutely right! Don't skip breakfast. People who try to lose weight by skipping breakfast usually end up gaining weight. Sounds backwards, doesn't it? Not really if you think about your body in a different way. Your body is basically a machine meant to burn fat. Like any machine, it needs fuel after a long work out. What long work out? The one your body does while you sleep! Yes, while you sleep, your body is still working to burn fat. So when you wake up, your body needs to re-fuel. So don't skip breakfast!

2. Fiber is good for you! - Eating fiber will help make you feel more full but it will also cleanse your system. As clean as a person's diet may be, it's always beneficial to cleanse your body of any toxins that could come from your environment and surroundings. It'll do wonders for your health and, believe it or not, you'll be more likely to exercise.

3. Snack Healthy - Three meals a day is not often enough. Really, you should be eating those three meals and a few snacks in between. Sounds like a lot? Well, here's the thing about your fat burning machine of a body. When there is little or no food in your system, your metabolism (okay, let's call it your engine) starts to slow down to the point where it gets idle, in other words, stops burning fat. So if you stick to this 3-meal-a-day thing, your body gets used to running on slow-mo and your metabolism gets used to idling. Then you keep your weight! So you have to make your metabolism/engine keep going by eating smaller meals more often throughout the day.

4. Get Physical - To lose weight quickly, you'll have to do some sort of physical exercise. Now, this does not mean spend 3 hours a day at the gym or going to the local high school track twice a day. Not at all! This means something different for everyone depending on their physical ability. The focus for everyone is always to increase intensity - someone who's a newbie will want to just increase the heart rate but someone who's pretty advanced will want to increase the repetitions or amount of weight.

5. Drink Water! - Water really is that important to life. It's that much more important to losing weight. Why? Water is a great suppressant of your appetite and it helps to burn fat. When you get hungry, drink water and believe me, it will fill you up. Everyone should try to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to maintain great health. When you're working to lose weight, you should be drinking even more water.

This is only the tip of the iceberg of weight loss but there it is - the possibility of losing weight quickly is right there. It's very possible and very achievable. Keep your goals in your sights and keep it interesting for yourself! It's easy and simple enough to have fun with so go after your weight loss goals and achieve them!
