1) Drink More Water - Did you know that a lot of people are dehydrated by mid-afternoon because they do not drink enough water? How many of your colleagues at work seem to get headaches in the afternoon? Drink more water to give you more energy and also satisfy your appetite so you don't crave those tempting foods. If you drink water, you will feel more full which is a good thing when you want to lose weight.

2) Switch Off The Television - What do most people do when they have had a hard day at work? They put their feet up and watch their favorite tv shows. Whilst that may be enjoyable, it doesn't burn any calories, so don't even go there. I don't know if you've noticed this, but when people are watching the television they also have a tendency to eat calorie laden food including cakes, chocolate and popcorn.

4) Join A Gym - When you are paying a monthly membership fee you will feel obliged to work out more often. Join a gym and try to work out at least twice a week. Don't limit it to aerobic sessions on the treadmill either. Try and do some resistance exercises with weights or machines and also mix things up by using the treadmill, rowing machine and maybe even some swimming.

5) Stop Eating Bread - It's amazing how many people eat more bread than they should. White bread in particular has little nutritional value and tends to bloat you. Not only that, it causes a spike in your insulin levels and that converts more readily to fat. Ditch the bread and I assure you that if you are currently eating too much of it, you'll notice a drop in weight with this tip alone.
