This strategy is the exact opposite of what most people do in writing, and almost any other business with a low barrier to entry, for that matter. Most poeple promise the world and then turn in a mispelled, grammatically incorrect, inaccurate article about 3 days after the deadline.

Do the exact opposite, and you'll have clients for life.

3. Learn to Market

It's not often you meet a good writer who is also a good marketer, but that's exactly what you need to become if you want to make a good income with freelance writing. And the fact that so many are horrible at it makes your job a lot easier.

4. Focus On a Niche

One of the number one ways to ramp up your earnings with online writing while at the same time increasing article speeds is by focusing on a few different niches. The more you write about a subject, the easier it becomes, and soon you don't need to research at all.

Not to mention a lot of buyers don't just want a writer, they want an expert in their niche.

5. Offer Add-On Services

The more you learn about the clients who pay for high quality freelance writing, the more you will understand that there are a wide range of services that they need besides content creation.

Start to offer those other services, and you can upsell to your clients. Before you know it, writing will be a small portion of what you do.
