Influence is defined as having the power to manipulate humanity, devoid of having to make use of too much effort or sometimes even instinctively. Similar to how elder siblings, parents or close friends would create an impact to an individual. The list below is a list of people who have influenced people all over the world (if not all, most) for dissimilar reasons and diverse ways. It can be for political, entertainment, technological, etc.

1. Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs is the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple. By this time and age, surely everyone would be familiar with Apple. For the advantage of those who dont know, Apple is responsible for creating the worlds leading mp3 player right now, iPod. It is also responsible for iPhone, and for all the Macintosh products (like the now popular Mac Book Air the envelope thin and d really light laptop).

2. George W. Bush
As everybody would already know, George W. Bush is the current president of the United States of America. We all know that this is the worlds most powerful position. Aside from this, he was made popular by him declaring the global War on Terrorism, ever since the terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York. His goal was to destroy Al Qaeda, a terrorist group led by Osama bin Laden. He was also the person responsible in ordering the invasion in Iraq, telling everyone that the country was in possession of weapons of mass destruction. Being the president of one of the most powerful countries in the world, he was able to influence many people to believe what he says, and to work to achieve his goals, for the common good.

3. Oprah Winfrey
Oprah Winfrey, made popular by her TV show The Oprah Winfrey Show is an African American television host and is considered the wealthiest African American in the 20th Century. She has influenced many people in the different topics she discusses in her shows, from literature, health, spirituality, celebrities, and life itself. She has also done plenty of charity work to help the needy, and her fellow African Americans. She created her own religion so do not be surprised when one day she will fall.

4. Angelina Jolie
Surely, everyone would already know who Angelina Jolie is. Aside from just simply being a celebrity, she has made herself very popular, with adopting children from 3rd world countries, to being Brad Pitts woman, to bearing his child Shiloh, and doing charity work to help out 3rd world countries. She became a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency. She has helped a lot of people living in poverty-stricken countries, and influenced many to do the same. She is a good role model with a good (not showy) heart. She deserves the fame she has now.

5. Bill Gates
Bill Gates is a famous American businessman, is considered the worlds 3rd richest person and is also the chairman of the well-known software company, Microsoft. He is admired by many as one of those that revolutionized the personal computer. Though he is very wealthy and does not ever need to worry about money, he never forgot his duties to the community. He would donate big amounts of money to charitable organizations and would devote his time and money in scientific research programs through his foundation called the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation founded in the year 2000.

Notice the common denominator here? They all have money. In our generation, money makes the world go round. Money of course, is also the root of all evil but, if you pray for guidance, you can put your money to good use. Influential people can influence a lot of people in diverse ways, from talk shows, to technology, charitable work, etc, and can be for both the good and the bad. One can begin as a nobody and, slowly make name by stepping up, while others are already in the position of power, which is why each and every step he makes in life is watched by everybody. But either way, one does not have to be popular or powerful to be influential. All of us can be influential in our own little ways.
