When you eat enough to maintain lean muscle you keep your metabolism working at its peak which means a lean muscular body burns more fat. A lean muscular body needs more calories to maintain it weight in order to keep metabolism high. Now, you don't have to starve to lose weight.

Reason 3 - Eating gives you energy in order to do your daily functions. If you don't eat you want have the energy to perform these activities. This makes it harder to stay on a low calorie diet long enough to lose the weight you want. Staying on a healthy calorie intake makes it much easier to stay on diet and will also keep from overeating at times.

Reason 4 - Eating enough calories will give you the energy to work out. Remember muscles need calories to grow, and muscle burns fat, so working out with proper calorie intake is key to losing unwanted pounds.

Reason 5 - If you don't enough food, you won't get the proper nutrition for you to stay healthy. Getting the proper nutrients to your muscles will keep them working at peak level.
