5 Negative Symptoms Of Micromineral Overdose

By:

The microminerals are a family of health boosting nutrients that your body requires in extremely small amounts. If you stick to the recommended daily allowances (RDAs) they can support your body in countless ways. Some of their main health benefits include fighting disease, protecting your cells and supporting your vital organs. However, consuming too much of these nutrients can have the opposite effect and be highly damaging to your health. In this article I will be discussing 5 of the negative symptoms associated with micromineral overdose.

1) DENTAL PROBLEMS:- The microminerals support dental health in various ways. They assist in the production of strong teeth whilst also preventing dental cavities (holes in the teeth) and tooth decay. However, eating too many microminerals has the opposite effect and actually damages your teeth.

2) HEADACHES:- One of the milder symptoms of micromineral overdose is headaches. Whilst headaches are not seriously detrimental to your health they are still very unpleasant and can make it difficult to concentrate.

3) KIDNEY PROBLEMS:- The kidneys are a vital set of organs which help to remove waste materials from the body. Micromineral overdose can damage the kidneys and in the worst cases cause them to fail completely. This then leads to waste materials slowly building up inside the body and if they are left unattended they start to poison the body internally.

4) THYROID PROBLEMS:- The thyroid gland's main function is to produce the thyroid hormones which regulate almost every process in the human body. They regulate body heat generation, heart rates, growth rates, oxygen use and more. Certain microminerals support the production of these important thyroid hormones. However, consuming too many microminerals can interfere with the thyroid gland and actually prevent it from producing these important hormones. This can then inhibit the ability of the body to regulate these important processes.

5) VOMITING:- Another unpleasant symptom of micromineral overdose is vomiting. Whilst vomiting is generally not too damaging to your health, prolonged vomiting can cause you to lose certain vitamins and minerals from your stomach. In the worst cases this can lead serious vitamin and mineral deficiencies which can be much more damaging to your health.

SUMMARY

It is very difficult to overdose on most microminerals from food alone. However, certain supplements contain extremely high levels of these nutrients and can contribute to micromineral overdose. So make sure you keep an eye on the amounts of microminerals in the supplements you are taking and try to make sure you do not exceed the RDAs.
