Writing down your goals and what you hope to accomplish literally forces your brain to figure out a way to make it happen. Writing down your goals also helps you stay on track. It gives you something to work toward. So please, take the time to write down your goals and what you hope to accomplish with your online business. If its to be able to quit your current job in the next six months, write it down.

Tip #2 - Pick One Business Model To Start With

The problem with most beginners is that they jump around from business model to business model. I did the exact same thing. I would learn about one method to make money online and then as soon as I found out about a different one, I would jump on that bandwagon. Jumping around like this will keep you broke and frustrated. When you are first starting out you can't afford to have your attention being pulled in ten different directions. Find one business model that you like and then work at it until it becomes successful.

Tip #3 - Pick One Marketing Method To Start With

Another mistake beginners make is trying to learn every marketing or traffic generation method there is to know. This will only lead to frustration. Pick just one traffic generation technique and become really good at it. And then, if you like, you can venture into other methods.

Tip #4 - Create A Plan And Stick To It

Having a plan will help you get things done quicker. For example, my daily plan might consist of me writing 20 articles and creating 10 videos. Of course, your plan will be different depending on how much time you have to put into your online business. But you must create a plan and you must execute that plan.

Tip #5 - Manage Your Time Effectively

The internet is one big playground. It is very easy to get distracted and lose focus. Thats why time management is very important. Close facebook, get off of twitter and stay away from youtube. If you truly want to be successful online you must avoid wasting your time on unproductive stuff. Checking your facebook wall and looking at the latest youtube videos are a waste of time. Unless of course they pertain to your business and you are learning something from it. Even then, you can only spend so much time learning. At some point you will need to take what you have learned and put it into action.
