The iPhone is a pretty powerful bit of kit. Helping people all over the globe navigate their daily troubles, and making life just that little bit easier. However, what if it went that bit further? What if there were apps that would turn our 9-5 existence into a delight, smash the monotony and make us king of the desk jockeys? Here are five imagined apps that would do just that.

1 - The Wildenator:
There are often times in our working life where we don't say what we're thinking. That is usually because rage and frustration breeds ineloquence. Thus the Wildenator (named after Oscar, naturally) would provide, preferably straight to the tip of your tongue, a witty retort. Let's face it, suggesting that your boss has less backbone than a chocolate eclair is considerably more sophisticated than even the most inventive profanity.

2 - OoO-er:
The simple, yet supreme choice for when 'working' from home. The OoO-er (Out-of-Office-er) hooks into your work email and sends jargon filled, important sounding emails randomly throughout the day and responds politely, yet evasively, to any enquiries or requests you receive. And all while you sit on the couch and hone your Modern Warfare 3 skills.

3 - iSkive:
iSkive is the electronic equivalent of Harry Potter's Marauder's Map, except rather than getting you safely around Hogwarts, it navigates you through your office. It tracks all senior management, water-cooler bores and, more positively, cute members of the workforce. Ideal for knowing when best to go make coffee, cat-nap at your desk or 'bump into' Sally or Steve in the confines of the stationary cupboard.

4 - CoffeeCourtesy:
This might actually exist already, but if it doesn't it should. An app that tracks whose turn it actually is to make the coffee. Come on people, its making coffee, it's not like loaning out a kidney!

5 - WWPeterGibbonsD:
This is the money-shot app as it were. Never has there been a greater office hero than Office Space's, Peter Gibbons. The What Would Peter Gibbons Do app will have you covered in all scenarios. Simply load it up, shake your phone like a mystical 8-ball and the answer arrives, blam! You're a success. If things go really well you'll be embezzling fractions of cents before you know it!
