5 Great Blog Commenting Tips To Boost Your Search Engine Rankings

By:

Blog commenting is a great way to build valuable backlinks to your website. It is easy and it doesn't take much time. Usually I spend 10-15 minutes in the morning to do post some blog comments and to build 7-10 backlinks to my websites.

However, to get the most benefit from your blog comments a few simple rules should be respected. Here are some simple tips that should help you to get the most out of your blog commenting:

* Always post useful and valuable comments on other people's blogs. Avoid comments like: "Great post, thanks for sharing..." Those types of comments usually go directly into the spam folder. So, don't waste your time. Leaving a valuable comment doesn't mean that you need to write a novel. Just try to write a comment that adds some value to the discussion. Oftentimes, a short comment of 1-3 sentences is enough.

* Try to find blogs that have the CommentLuv plugin installed. This plugin allows you to get a second backlink to one of your blog posts. Also, backlinks from the CommentLuv plugin are always dofollow.

* Add a specific niche keyword to your name if the blog owner allows it. Something like: Mark @ Gardening Tools". You may also want to search for blogs that use the KeywordLuv plugin. This plugin allows you to add a specific keyword to your name field. Using this technique helps you to build more valuable backlinks, because you will have the actual keyword for which you would like to rank in the anchor text of your backlink.

* Dofollow backlinks are more valuable than nofollow backlinks. Make sure, a good portion of your blog comments are on dofollow blogs. However, I also recommend you comment on some high quality nofollow blogs. This makes your backlink pattern look more natural. Having all your blog comments on dofollow blogs may raise some red flags with the search engines.

* Comment on niche blogs. If you want to build backlinks to your gardening website, it will be more beneficial to comment on gardening blogs than on internet marketing blogs. Also ,I recommend you build some backlinks from .edu blogs and from .gov blogs. Finding dofollow .gov and .edu blogs is a bit more tricky but it is well worth the effort, because those kinds of backlinks are considered to be very valuable.

Follow those simple tips and you will see how the ranking of your website will improve over time. It doesn't take much time. I suggest you get started spending about 15 minutes a day 3-4 times a week.
