5 Easy Steps To Ensure The Best Birthday Party Ever !!!

Step 1 Theme and Colour Scheme
This is a very important part of planning your child party as you would like everything to fit perfectly for you little ones special day it does not necessarily mean that you have to get everybody to dress the same and that all the pink at the party needs to be cherise pink but getting the basic colours will be just perfect.
The theme is up to you to decide if you little one is still too young choose a theme that will suit your baby personality and that you are happy to do. With over 100 themes to choose from believe me it is not an easy one and how to decide what age is used for the correct theme is not easy also consider the ages of the children attending the party for instance a fun at 1 with soft toys and marshmallow will not be to cool if you have a lot of 3-4 year olds attending so also think of everybody else to make the day as much fun for everybody and not just the Birthday boy or girl.
When deciding on the theme ensure that you will be able to get everything you require for the party in that specific theme and if you would like to dress up that there is somebody who will be able to assist with costume making.
Step 2 Food and Drink
This is a very important part of planning a party Is food important to you or is it just a side issue as there will be other activities?
There is a couple of things to consider when deciding on food and drink for the party
For the children age group will they be able to eat mini hamburgers and hotdogs etc or must we just go with the sweeties the parents will probably pack something in that the little ones can eat?
If not a great option for the little ones is sandwiches, mini burgers, mini hotdogs, nuggets, fish fingers etc
Time of day & duration of the party. Will your guests expect a full meal, a light meal or just nibbles.
Do you want to do food and party treats to match your theme
The budget plays a big role when deciding on food and drink especially when it comes to the adults attending also make sure not to overspend as most people also gets something afterwards in any case but never have empty plates when guest have not dished up yet when doing platters they usually server 8-10 guest try to purchase at least 6 platters if you have 60 guest and make some salads and get French loafs to serve with your platters.
Also ensure that you have enough juice or soft drinks as we all know it is hard work to run around checking that your toddler is fine.
When wanting to add alcohol to the party for the close friends that also stays a bit later when the kids are relaxed and sleeping ever though about getting a slush puppy machine and making strawberry daiquiris it is the best and you do not have to mix the whole time you can also just relax after the party
For desert you should also consider not overspending on the cake maybe get a Birthday cake for the children and then do a chocolate fountain for the adults with fruit kebabs etc
Step 3 Entertainment
What kind of entertainment are you looking for?
Jumping Castle you must always consider the space you have available, the season etc you would not want to book a jumping castle and it is raining the whole time that nobody can use it
Face Painters Do you know if the parents coming will approve of their childrens faces getting painted and did you book one for the correct age group as they need to sit still for at least 15 min to get their face painted to look like a lion etc.
Musician Does it fit in with your theme and the age group of the attendees at the party?
Piatas Is also fun for the party kids and the adults
Most venues offer a lot of entertainment which is included in the venue price
Party games can be a great way to have your guests interacting with each other. Search on the net for plenty of team game ideas.
Dont be afraid to try something new or adventurous.. Guests are usually more than happy to try something new and providing it is well organized will have fun!
Step 4 Invitations
Make sure that your invitations are send out at least 2 weeks prior to the party and find out if his other friends are not also having parties on that date etc.
Design your Birthday invite according to the theme so that you guest have an idea what to expect and also make sure to include all the details on the invite, for example
Date, time (indication of duration), place, directions if necessary. Make sure you explain what is expected of your guests costume / dress code, punctuality, what to bring (wine etc).
And make it exciting! Tease them with hints of what you have planned so that your guests will be eager to attend.
Make a spreadsheet with you rsvp and make sure to follow up 1 week prior to the party with the guest who did not confirm yet as you will now have to start getting you final orders ready.
Step 5 Be Prepared
Make sure you have your spreadsheet with you and know who will be attending and if mommy and daddy is also coming along.
If you will be using a venue as them to have a walk through a few days prior to the party to ensure that you have everything ready as planned.
A walk through should be done from the point of arrival at your party. You must imagine yourself going through every moment of your party see it from your guests point of view. And make lots of notes about what you will have to do or arrange to make sure that your vision is reality.
Make sure that you have everything ready at least 3 days prior to the party and give yourself enough time on the day of the party to get ready.
