4g Wireless Internet: The Evolution Of Internet

By:

The evolution of the internet has transformed the way we see and use the worldwide web. From its inception into mainstream society in the late 1980s and early 1990s using dial-up internet connection, it has strived to make our lives much more convenient. Technology and innovation has slowly made the worldwide web much more accessible to everyone, enabling us to stay connected with much more ease. It has also given us many tools to make our lives much more simpler, quickening the pace of our lives.

With the dial-up connection that enabled us to check our emails and conduct Google searches, we had a reliable access to the internet; however, the slow speeds impeded many of the functions that we enjoy today, such as video streaming, social media networks, and video chatting. As technology improved, cable and DSL companies began providing much higher speed broadband internet that ran at much higher data transfer speeds. Downloads could be made much more quickly, videos could be streamed more accessibly, and basic things were done more efficiently. While broadband internet provides its users with a quality, high speed internet connection, it constrains its users with cords and cables and thus, wireless internet networks came up, liberating avid laptop users from being tied down to a desk. Users could now roam around their house, their office, or even their schools without the annoying cords and cables. This wireless internet gave people the mobility around their home; however, with the advent of the 3G network, people were able to gain access to the internet from their smart phones throughout their cities.

With the 3G network, people could check their emails, find directions, conduct quick Google searches, and even socially network right from their phones. It allowed people to access it from virtually anywhere they were as long as they had their phones. Droids, Blackberries, and iPhones began surfacing from every corner of the nation as it provided a convenience that many people craved for making their daily personal and work lives much simpler. Now, the latest evolution of internet technology is the 4G network, which grants its users a high speed, broadband quality internet connection comparable to broadband internet but with the mobility and freedom of 3G network. Whereas 3G only allowed its users to access the internet for basic functions, like checking your email or looking up directions, 4G wireless internet operates a much higher data transfer speed that allows its users to stream videos, video chat, download larger files, and play online games. It is a wireless internet technology created for avid computer users. By simply inserting a mobile air card into your laptop, you can access the worldwide web from virtually anywhere in your city. It will allow you to work at a park or on the road as you will no longer be tied down to your office or home in order to access the internet.

4G wireless internet technology is the latest trend in making the internet much more accessible to mainstream society, allowing our daily lives to be even more convenient, and opening up many new possibilities with a powerful, mobile internet connection.
