As we can see from the news that the U.S. military says pirates have shot and killed four Americans aboard a commandeered racing yacht off the seacoast of Somalia.

It is said that the U.S. Vice Admiral Mark Fox told newspersons that U.S. Navy were attempting to manage the hostages' acquittance Tuesday when, without any admonishing, pirates fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a U.S. War vessel, the USS Sterett. Our reporter said that the grenade dropped, but sailors then heard gunshot aboard the yacht, the SV Quest.

As we all know that several pirates then came along on the deck with their hands up and U.S. special forces boarded the commandeered watercraft. The special forces discovered all four sureties had been shot by the pirates. In spite of medical care, the four Americans broke down of their injures.

Fox said the special military force killed two pirates as trying to take control of the ship and confined 15 others. Two other pirates were found dead on board. Pirates commandeered the racing yacht on Friday and had been channel sing it toward the Somali coast, with four U.S. Navy war vessel and a U.S. Attack aircraft carrier behind and celebrating the watercraft.

As we can see from the news this is believed to be the first time U.S. citizens have been killed by the pirate bunches controlling off the Somali coast. The U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called the killings "condemnable" and said they emphasize the need for international cooperation in opposing piracy in the area.

It is reported that the media reports have described the four Americans killed as yacht owners Scott and Jean Adam of Marina del Rey, California, and Phyllis Macay and Bob Riggle of Seattle, Washington.

As we can see from the news that the four were sailing along with an international sailing-race, the Blue Water Rally, before heading off on their own a week ago. Arrangers of the rally say the four were sailing toward Salallah in Oman when the pirates appropriated their ship.

White House spokesman Jay Carney said Tuesday that President Barack Obama had cleared use of force in case of an close at hand threat to the sureties. Carney said the president was advised about the Americans' death at 4:42 am Washington time.

As we all know that in the year 2009, U.S. naval forces killed three Somali pirates to free Richard Phillips, the captain of an American-flagged ship that had been commandeered.

In addition, it is reported that the pirates have made hundreds of millions of dollars commandeering ships for ransom in recent years. The European Union's anti-piracy task force says the pirates are presently holding at least 32 vessels and nearly 700 sureties.
