New attacks in troubled Nigerian ethnic hotspot

JOS, Nigeria Suspected Muslim gangs burned homes in a Christian village near the Nigerian city of Jos, which has been at the centre of tit-for-tat attacks this year which have left hundreds dead, officials said.

The suspected ethnic Fulani attackers targeted homes belonging to three top officials in the ethnic Berom village of Kura Jenta, about 30 kilometres (18 miles) south of Jos, residents said.

"Apparently the attackers were on a murder mission, they wanted to use the same tactics used in Dogo Nahawa, setting homes ablaze and then waiting for people to come out to be killed," a local cleric Raymond Gboum told AFP....

Fulani herdsmen launched a wave of attacks on five Christian Berom villages in March, slaughtering more than 500 people according to state officials.

Jos, capital of the central Plateau State, has long been the centre of ethno-religious violence in a country whose 150 million-strong population is divided almost equally between Christians and Muslims. www.persecution.org

A twittering Muslim ministerial moron happily quotes Hitler. Niqab wearing Muslims in Toronto are defended by the city's Queer newspaper - a collective apparently which is too dense to know that Muslims don't tolerate Queerity. And on it goes with the religion of pieces and hate.

A man who killed his wife by using her veil to strangle her in their Melbourne home did so in the belief he was entitled to dominate her, a Supreme Court judge has found.

Soltan Azizi was today sentenced to 22 years' jail by Justice Betty King, who said the Afghani refugee had been physically abusive towards Marzieh Rahimi throughout their 14-year marriage.

Justice King said Ms Rahimi had sought help from social workers and was intending to leave Azizi, despite him warning that he would kill her if she tried.

She said Azizi had complained to Ms Rahimi's sister in the days prior to her killing that his wife was becoming "too Australian", meaning "she was not a docile and good wife in the terms you expected her to be".

"It is clear you were unable to accept that your wife had rights, which rights included the ability to leave you if that was what she desired," Justice King said.

"... Her death clearly resulted because of your belief that you were entitled to dominate and dictate to your wife what she could and could not do."
