The Great British summer is often significantly less impressive than billed, with many July afternoons spent huddled under an umbrella rather than lounging in a beer garden in the sun. Some people have held off on buying a 3D television as the technology had not been standardised but in some cases such as non-powered 3D glasses this can present a significant saving for owners as they wont cost a lot to buy additional glasses or replacement sets for those that get broken.

The majority of new TV sets on the market are now classified as 3D ready as well as having many of the features that people are already looking for when buying a TV set whether they were in the market for 3D TVs or not. Specifications such as whether they can handle full 1080p high definition and high speed refresh rates for sharp images free from blurring, even with fast paced sports or action films.

So in many cases people who have found it is time to buy a new TV or are buying their first HD television have found that the best models that they have been eyeing up are in fact 3D models. There is also the important point for most technology and household appliances that is you should buy for the future, so making sure you buy the best today will mean your appliance will last many years of high definition and third dimensional service!
