So what exactly are the three steps to getting started in affiliate marketing?

3. The final step is to learn how to promote your affiliate products. Many people start by promoting the affiliate website provided for them.

Often times the affiliate merchant will give you advertising materials such as graphics, banners, text link ads, and so on. The hard part is to learn how to promote these and generate enough traffic that you can begin to earn money.

There are shortcuts to making money with this business model. Some of these include building an email list you can market to. Other things that work well are to set up your own review articles or pre-sell web pages and market them.

What you are trying to do is warm your prospect up before passing them through to your affiliate sales page. You can learn about theses strategies by joining an affiliate marketing membership training site or in Internet marketing discussion forums.
