While the network marketing industry can be a very lucrative business, it is more than likely that you are struggling with an issue that affects so many marketers: you are having trouble generating leads for your MLM business All of us have been there at one time, and we all know just how difficult it can be. You are well aware of the wonderful opportunity you are offering, but you just can't seem to generate the right attention, if any at all.

I've learned these three "secrets" to MLM lead generation. I hesitate to use the word secret because I think it tends to get abused, but in this case, I'm going to make an exception.

Become A Leader

I'm going to repeat that one more time. Become a leader. No one wants to follow a follower. People want to follow leaders, so becoming a leader as quickly as possible should be high on your priority list! This has nothing to do with the number of sales you have, or how much money you make. This is about working on yourself and making yourself more valuable to others. It's about teaching and helping your prospects and your team.

It is so vital that we work on ourselves as much, if not more, as we work on our business. This is something we have total control over, but is often overlooked. The truth is that nothing is stopping us but ourselves!

Provide Value

Let's be honest. Nobody gives a flying you know what about how much money you've made or are currently making. What your prospects care about is how you can help them reach their goals and have success. It is so crucial that we are always providing value to our prospects. This is one of my favorite quotes:

"We must give without want before we can receive."

That really sums up the mindset behind the concept of providing value. This is an essential concept to being successful at MLM lead generation. Remember to always be teaching and giving to our prospects and team. It's okay to sell, but I would say 80-90% of the time we should be providing value and the other 10-20% of the time it's okay to sell.

Don't Be Needy

Your prospects will see right through you and nobody will want to join you. There are so many people out there who are looking for what you have to offer, so there is no reason to be needy or to feel needy. You have the opportunity for them, not the other way around. It's important that you value your time and not spend it chasing down people who just don't get it.

You should be professional and follow up with your prospects, but don't start chasing them down! There are prospects everywhere, so have an attitude of abundance and you will be greatly rewarded!

There are many aspects to MLM lead generation, but these three principles are important to being successful. These principles will help you build the foundation and the mindset to be able to attract good quality leads. Once you really embrace them, nothing will stop you! You will be generating MLM business leads all day long!
