The misspelled keywords can be the solution to your problems. What are the misspelled keywords anyway? Can I use search terms, which are not written correctly? The answer is yes, because you just use the misspelled keywords because also your target group, the information seekers, use them. And when the surfers use them the search engines use them to create result pages.

Let us recall the target, why we in general use the search terms. We use them, because the stats show, that they are the terms with which the information seekers, the search engine customers, try to find, what they need. And because the stats are used also by the marketers we all optimize our material with more or less the same keywords. That makes the competition tough.

1. Why Do Information Seekers Use The Misspelled Keywords?

Actually nobody knows. The reason can be, that they just write the words wrong, because they are in a hurry or that they think, that they have used the right terms. I have noticed, that if I write a search term wrong, the search engine can still guess, what I need.

However, the software, which register the used keywords, register my wrong search term and when there are enough users for this term regularly, it has a commercial value. I have seen misspelled keywords, which have hundred thousands of searches every month, written wrong in excatly the same way.

2. What Are The Keywords Other Than The Usual Ones?

The list is too long to be repeated here, but generally speaking people use so odd search terms, that only the human mind can create them. There are common misspellings and typos. The information seekers can add quotes or brackets around the terms.

They can use plurals, synonyms or alternate word forms. It is amazing, how people behave in the same way also here. It seems that the Gaussian curve works. Most seekers use the normal terms, but the minority the misspelled keywords. Here is our chance!

3. Why The Long Tail Misspelled Keywords Are Valuable?

The keywords are terms, with which the marketers try to get their offers in front of the target audiences. The problem is the competition, which has exactly the same target. So a single marketer has to find a low competition shortcut, where he or she meets only a mild competition. The secret is in the keywords.

Actually it does not matter, which keywords the marketer is using, the target is the main thing. But if a marketer thinks, that by using the low competition keywords it is possible to rank high and to get regular and related traffic, which is ready to buy, who cares.
