Operational mechanism

In contrast with a single-stage blower, this has one or more augers. An auger is a tool that moves a material in a rotating manner, so that is goes up and near the impeller. It is usually made of metal, which is stronger and capable of cutting ice into small sections as compared to plastic used in a single-stage blower. Although it operates on a lower speed, a two-stage machine has a separate high-speed fan aside from the auger.

Indication

With the steel blades not touching the ground, this type of snow blower is recommended for hard surfaces. Depending on its model, it can clear snow that is between 20 - 30 inches thick.

Advantage

Durability is one of its known advantages because it is created on purpose for heavy duty. Its reversible drives allow easy maneuvering along with the controllable joystick.
