Of that group, the top 25% with the highest blood DHA got about 180 mg DHA per day or three servings of fish a week. Also, in this study EPA (another major fatty acid) had no effect at all. The recommended dosage of DHA is 1000 mg and can also be found in walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and flax seed.
