*Performing planning and budgeting of their department.
*Controlling and monitoring inventory.
*Supervising the staff.

At senior levels, an ultrasound technician can expect to earn a decent annual income between the range of $60,000 and $75,000. This gives you a clear picture of the additional duties that you would be required to perform as an ultrasound technician.

Growth in the Sector

There are two very clear reasons why the sector is going to go through a significant growth in the future. The first reason is that ultrasound imaging is much more cost-effective and safer as compared to the radiological imaging procedures.
